2threads is here to set the record straight that social networks are no longer a domain reserved for nerds, social hermits and stalkers.

With social networks cropping up all over the World Wide Web the 2threads team decided there was no logical reason why there shouldn’t be a social network for those who blow their entire pay packet on a pair of shoes, kill time by trawling the internet for fashion fodder or get their thrills from falling in lust with material goods. Upon deciding this, 2threads was born.

2threads is as a social network with style. It is a place where anyone with a penchant for fashion can come to look, love and buy fashion all in one, easy to reach place. No matter who you are or where you are from 2threads is a place where you can engage in all your guilty fashion-fixated vices.



You can share your thoughts on all things fashion and style by uploading blogs, you can let pictures do the talking by uploading photos, you can even get really tricky and upload videos. You can spend your hard earned cash at 2threads Shop on a special item that you just have to have; you can even set up your own shop and sell some of your own designs or clear out your wardrobe and flog your fashion to make room for new pieces. And, if all else fails you can just hang about networking with other 2threaders on the site.

History

It was the summer of ’05 when two all-Aussie blokes decided to make their interest in fashion, parties and Sydney happenings more than just a past time by delivering it to the inboxes of their friends and family in the form of a newsletter. You can check out the very first issue here.

It turned out that their friends and family weren’t just being nice by subscribing to their newsletter, but the fact was that there were a heap of other likeminded people out there with a keen interest in the same things they were into. It was decided pretty early on in the set that they were going to make a big go of 2threads.

Flash forward to 2008 and 2threads is now not only just a newsletter (though this aspect still remains) but a social network with over 20 000 members worldwide and teams in Sydney, Melbourne and New York. And the rest, as they say, is history.
