Andrej Pejic Closes Jean Paul Gaultier Women’s Spring 2011 Paris Haute Couture Parade

Melbourne born male model Andrej Pejic was given the honour of closing Jean Paul Gaultier’s women’s Spring 2011 show at yesterday’s Haute Couture show in Paris. As the traditional final look in the Haute Couture show, Pejic was a not so traditional bride, but sure did look the part. It is no surprise Pejic featured in the show, considering he and Czech supermodel Karolina Kurkova both featured in the SS11 ready to wear ad campaign.

Having said that, we certainly weren’t expecting to see him closing the show as the dashing bride. I’m glad someone in fashion is taking some risks! Gaultier’s collection was inspired by British punks and French showgirls, with everything from mohawks to cancan girls. Check out more from Paris Haute Couture 2011 here.
