Barbie’s The Dream Closet Event

Have you ever dreamt of being Barbie? We sure have! And our dreams came true on Wednesday when we had the opportunity to try on the trends of Barbie from her dream closet which showcased her past five decades of fashion during High Tea at Luxe Studios. 

The studio was transformed into a pretty pink replica of a Barbie closet, lined with a table of delicious sweet treats. The High Tea was in celebration of the new x-box kinect application that allows you to be Barbie. A pink carpet was rolled out of Barbie’s closet and in between sipping on champagne and pink lemonade; guests could try on their favourite Barbie outfits. Simply by hovering your hand over the screen, users had the chance to be transformed into their favourite Barbie nursing outfit, ball gown, fitness instructor gear or be astronaut Barbie. Once happy with their selection, the photo was instantly uploaded to the Facebook page, and everyone received a copy of their picture.

Adriano Zumbo provided his world famous macaroons for the celebration, and they matched the pink and yellow rose adorned room. Charlie Brown was among the guests mingling with the new wave of interaction with every girl’s favourite doll.
