Ellery At MBFWA Day 3

Kim Ellery presented her latest collection off-site on day 3 of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia. The line, titled ‘delicatessan’, was a homage by the designer to her favourite childhood possession – a teddy bear, which she got rid of at the age of 18.  

Lining the runway, the front row was decorated with the recognized faces of Elin Kling, Lara Bingle, Laura Dundovic, Morgan Weaving, Sophie Lowe, Jodi Gordon, Alexandra Richards, Rumi Neely, and Bryan Boy.

The sophisticated collection of minimalist draping with an architectural edge, amongst voluminous sleeves, skirted-shorts and their signature peplums. The colour palette was opulent with forest & moss greens, oxblood rouge against a backdrop of ivory and white. Baroque-printed hemp, check linen, brushed suede and triple silk organza and a peppering of glitter tulle were combined to create a richly textured vision.
