How To Wear: Leather And Fur

After viewing the autumn/winter collections of dozens of designers at L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival recently, a clear trend emerged – leather skirts and dresses teamed with fur coats.

Of course this is a perfect warm winter outfit, while still being very feminine and strikingly edgy at the same time. And whether you go for the faux or the real varieties is entirely up to your own ethical standing and bank balance.

The fur and leather look rarely fails. The two textures really complement each other so it’s hard to go wrong. Even former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell has caught on to this trend. Just be sure to not layer too much. If you are wearing fur and leather, there is no need for a scarf or too many accessories (unless you’re trekking into sub-zero temperatures). Also, try to keep shoes and tops quite minimal as you are already making a big enough statement with fur and leather teaming.
