LMFF L’Oreal Paris Runway 1

The first of LMFF’s group collection shows set the standard for the week on Friday night with some massive names in Australian fashion leading the charge. First for the evening was Karen Walker’s autumn/winter line that teamed tailored and printed garments with headscarves and sunglasses for Old Hollywood glamour vibe.

Arthur Galan bucked the trend opting for classic cuts and a darker palette, making use of black in a traditional winter way. Nicola Finetti diverted from his usual feminine aesthetic and produced a line of bold, structured items in bold colours as did Carl Kapp. Manning Cartel and Kate Sylvester also featured their take on the season’s ladylike trend.
