Mary Katrantzou Menswear Line

Mary Katrantzou is known for her signature flare with her distinctive prints that transcend onto the runway through her women’s’ collection. Now, Mary Katrantzou is branching out into menswear… without even realising it! 

The accidental designing talent came about when a picture was snapped of a friend of Harry Holland wearing one of Katrantzou’s SS12 jackets on a blog. Holland loved the look so much, he himself got photographed wearing the jacket and uploaded it to British Vogue. The result? Instant demand for Katrantzou to create a menswear line.

While not officially launching a menswear range, after the viral effect of Holland’s photograph, she has said it has definitely given her ideas for the future and made her realise the potential of her creations.

We can’t wait to see more of the vibrant colour palette and distinctive cuts from Katrantzou as she dabbles her talents in men’s fashion.
