Myer Spring Summer Runway Review
To make sure you’re up to date on the hottest trends and styles for Spring Summer 11/12 look no further than Myer! The Myer Spring Summer Parade which was held at Carriage Works Sydney got us all excited to start celebrating the Birth of a New Summer. Guests were blown away by the stunning collections that came down the runway.
Models walked down a 30 metre catwalk, with Myer taking inspiration from the Australian Landscape. Myer transformed the show into a set inspired by the Pinnacles Desert in Western Australia, with models entering the catwalk through abstract land forms.
Myer Ambassadors Jennifer Hawkins and Kris Smith opened the Spring Summer 11/12 Parade. Jen Hawkins first walked down the runway with 20 models showing off the newest collection from Sass & Bide. The entire parade was all about lots of colour, dazzling accessories and clashing prints.
Whilst Manning Cartell was all about mustard and rustic colours, Magdalena Velevska showed us all how to work bright neon’s and classic drapery. There were timeless designs in white, black and gold from Fernando Frissoni and elegant and sophisticated pieces from Cue. The swimwear from Cozi and Seafolly, got all the guests just wishing it was summer with both colourful collections and also timeless black styles.
Not only was it about the fashion but the hair and make-up was incredible. The talented L’Oreal and Illamasqua hair and makeup teams dazzled the audience with models hair tied back tight, covered with either bright pink or white glitter.
