The Big O Music Festival: Kick Start Uni Life

Christmas is gone, the buzz of the New Year too and that can only mean one thing: uni is back! Well, almost. As a uni student, myself, there is only thing that can brace you for another year of boring lectures, assignments, exams and long, lonely, nights staring at your computer screen willing that essay to magically appear…a huge back to uni blow out!

That\’s where The Big O comes in. This event will see The Music, The Fratellis, Ben Lee, Bluejuice, Yves Klein Blue and Triple J Unearthed J Award nominees, Cassette Kids, welcome the new uni year at a campus near you.

If you\’ve never heard of it, The Big O is a series of O [orientation] Week events in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Wollongong and Newcastle but you don\’t just have to be a uni student to attend. Tickets are available for both students and the general public [because everyone should be allowed to let their hair down]. Of course, this doesn\’t mean usual O Week activites are cancelled – just check the University website for full details.

University of Sydney, Manning House: Friday February 27, 2009
