Karl Lagerfeld is without question known for pushing boundaries, and this time it pertains to the intimate technology of Chanel. The show happened during the Grand Palais, where models stepped between huge, blinking monoliths built to resemble a data center. The most recent collection from iconic French brand name offered people a glimpse of futuristic robots in posh tweed matches, silk shirt dresses adorned with colorful, threadbare squiggles, and playful ball caps used sideways. When asked concerning the inspiration behind this show, Lagerfeld details that, “the info center is something of our time. The thought of the present day girl, regardless of the time, the century, and/or idea of the circumstances are…[is] to enjoy a fluid familiarity that is additionally bountiful.” The collection celebrates things futuristic and electronic, and particularly what the long run may hold for Chanel.
