If you like the thought of doing your bit for society whilst doing something you love (say, watching a fashion show) then I have the event just for you.

Here is your invitation to the Mornington Peninsula Fashion Show; a fashion show dedicated to helping the kids of the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.

Help make a difference in these kids’ lives – help make them smile! Donations, support and volunteers are all needed. Take note: this is a great opportunity to gain experience in the fashion industry!

The Best and Worst of January Fashion Magazines January fashion magazines may be light in volume, but they lend a much-needed heft of creativity to the fashion ennui of this past fall's periodicals, the editorial spreads in particular. NYMag.com posted a selection of the best and worst pages of this month's fashion pages. Korean Vogue had the best editorial: they styled Korean models as the supers -- Claudia Schiffer, Linda Evangelista, et al. If you want to find good American photography, you will have to settle for Harper's Bazaar, with an ethereal, well-traveled editorial of the best of Spring 2009. Jumpsuits are officially back! Although we knew that already... It is nice to see innovative, beautiful, even witty photography in a time like this. Everything is so depressing now and I, for one, am glad that some magazines saw fit to bring beauty and creativity back to the world of fashion. Lonely Hearts Club was formed in 2003 amongst three friends with a penchant for quirky prints, fine fabrics and clothing that pulls attention. Goodbye beanies and hello fedoras. Well, do not totally say goodbye to your beanies but just put them up on the top shelve of your closet. Fedoras are not just for men today but the ladies are also pulling the look and giving the outfit a rather laid back feel. Celebrities like Nicole Richie and Misha Barton have always been seen wearing them but no one really followed the look because it does seem like one of those "risky" fashion trends that many may not be able to pull off. It looks great with any type of face shape and gives a little spice and jazz to that outfit. Joel Madden and Nicole Richie really pull off the duo fedora hats. All fedora hats come in many different bill sizes which is noticeable with Joel's that is shorter and Nicole's is a bit longer. Personally, I'm a longer bill person than a short. It looks more feminine even though these hats are technically for guys when they first came out in the 1950's. I love fedoras that have a bit of color to...
